I am excited to say that Brittany Schoor and I have formed a
dynamic new Real Estate duo called socalhomeshop.
Honestly, when she approached me, I thought she was a little
nuts. She has been successfully selling Real Estate longer than
me and is a real pro. Granted I’m no slouch, but I wasn’t sure
why she wouldn’t want to keep going it alone, I mean if it ain’t
broke, why fix it?
I soon learned the value of being part of a team.
We decided to test the waters of our potential “relationship” by
door knocking. We chose a neighborhood without a dominant
Realtor, thinking we might scare up some leads. Not many
people do this anymore, cuz basically, you are a solicitor and
not everyone is happy to see you, to say the least.
We were pretty much dreading it.
The good news is that once we started, we got into the groove
and actually had some fun, met some nice folks, and made
some good connections. Turns out it’s harder to turn away two
annoying Realtors than it is one, and frankly a lot of people
were relieved we were not there to save their souls, but
instead, help them potentially sell their home.
The ball started rolling from there. We started farming, calling
on expireds, hosting Open Houses, asking for referrals and we
The best parts of being on a team are:
We keep each other accountable
We bounce ideas off one another
We support each other
We call each other out on BS and…
She bought me jewelry to seal the deal!
(We are double trouble, in a really good way!)
